Waiting & Optimizing for the next Google Update

Waiting for the next Google update can be stressful and nerve racking to say the least. After spending months getting relevant one way back links and doing onsite SEO you are now patiently waiting for Google to recognize all of your effort and hard work. Also during this time you are hoping that you didn’t “over optimize” your site or get “too many” one way back links in too short a period of time. At least I imagine that is what some experts are doing out there since they have probably read a bunch of articles on the bad things that can happen when you “over optimize” a website. Professional Project Manger, Blogger and SEO - Marios Alexandrou

Once in a while I feel the need to give a shout out to those who have impacted the way I view SEO or life in general.  I find that there are many friends and co-workers that have influenced the way I (and others) do business and live for the better and who do not always get the recognition that is deserved so I intend to make it a point to give credit where credit is due and hopefully the practice will rub off on other professionals. VIEWSTATE, SEO Problems and Solutions

For some reason Microsoft thought it would be a hysterical practical joke to create ASP .NET and make it include (On certain dynamic sites) these ridiculously large portions of gobble-de-gook called VIEWSTATE in the HEAD section within the HTML of web pages.  I am convinced…they did it just to mess with anyone trying to perform SEO on a website and probably laugh every single time they encounter a site that has it.  Some say (Usually the developer that doesn’t feel like finding a work around) that it does not effect SEO.  As I strongly disagree with that I will prove that VIEWSTATE does in fact impact SEO and also provide some ways to work around the VIEWSTATE issue for other SEO experts out there trying to jump the hurdle of having 100 kilobytes of junk in the HEAD section on their pages.  Continue Reading »
