This is something that I had stumbled upon while doing some keyword research and it just struck me as very interesting.  Apparently there are an extreme number of internet users (at least according to Google and Overture) that are searching for a Michigan SEO Consultant.  There are in fact more users searching for Michigan SEO Consultant than for SEO Optimization, SEO Web Design, SEO Firm, SEO Expert and a lot of other terms that I would have thought would be getting a lot more searches.  I have a few theories as to why this may be and hopefully writing this blog post will help me root out which one is the most accurate.

Reason 1 That Users are Searching for a Michigan SEO Consultant

The first reason that I can think of is perhaps the most obvious…there are just a high demand of companies in Michigan that need SEO solutions.  While this may be very probable I am just having a hard time believing that enough companies in Michigan need a SEO solution to justify more than 30k searches per month.

Reason 2 That Users are Searching for a Michigan SEO Consultant

There is a SEO consulting company in Michigan providing such phenomenal solutions that every company that catches wind of them is trying to find them through Google.  While this may be the case I cannot seem to find a company while performing a search for Michigan Consultant Company, Michigan Consultant Solution, or Michigan SEO Expert that is bringing up any results that would inspire me to believe that their SEO Company is THAT much different from the rest.

Reason 3 That Users are Searching for a Michigan SEO Consultant

The last and final reason that I can think of at the moment is that this is an error within the Google and Overture keyword suggestion tools .  I truly don’t believe that this is the case as there are more than one version of the search term appearing when I request suggestions but it is still a probability so I had to add it.

If there is someone who happens to know the actual answer to this phenomenon then I would love to read about it.  Otherwise I will continue to perform some research on the Consultant Michigan SEO mystery and post another follow up in the future.
